Goodbye to the last two Puppies

Today both of the last two boy Puppies went to their new homes, number 3 has now been named George and number 4 was named Alfie. It seems quite empty here without them all and I have shed a few tears as each one went. Mummy Candy seems ok as she still has puppie Peaches. Candy plays with Peaches a lot. Peaches also likes sleeping with her Daddy Eddie.

Advent scarf

Now for crafting as it's December I wanted to do something crafty through Advent, low and behold I found a Advent scarf to make . Each day the website I found puts a pattern piece for the scarf through advent , up to Christmas Eve. I'm really enjoying this pattern experimenting with different patterns and the design uses beads. I have never knitted with beads before, but it is not as hard as I thought it would be.

Puppies

Well it's been a while since I last blogged. To get up to date with things the Puppies are 9 weeks old today. Number 1 girl has gone to her new home and her new owners have named her Bonnie. Number 5 boy also has a new home and he has been name Dougie. So I have the little girl number 2 which I was going to name Poppy but I have changed it to Peaches. I also have number 3 and 4 left from the litter which are both boys, waiting for new homes. It has been very hard saying goodbye to them all ,the family became very attached to them, but it has been a amazing experience.

Candy my Yorkshire terrier

It's been a few weeks that I haven't blogged, but i have been quite busy. My Yorkshire terrier named Candy, gave birth to five pups yesterday, being 1.10.11. Candy had 2 girls followed by three boys. All are doing well. Candy is such a good Mummy.
The Daddy is my Pug who's name is Eddie. The pups have Eddie's looks and Candy's colour, they are gorgeous.
I thought this was a good opportunity to start a blog about them.

Starting to say goodbye

Today the first of Bromwyn's and Ludlow's baby's go , it is the bigger of the two White. This for me is the hardest part, but I know they will be well looked after. All of them have their own little personalities . I have got to know this from all the handling they have had from me.
I will mate Bromwyn again next year she has been such a wonderful Mummy!
I hope people have enjoyed reading about the Big Bunny Hutch, I have really enjoyed writing it. I will do a weekly update on Winnie and Baby's now , I will have to think of a title for their story. Watch this space!

Up dates

It's been a couple of weeks since I have blogged. The up dates are, the baby bunnies from Mummy Bromwyn all have new homes to go to. The first one will be going on Sunday, I shall miss them , it has been a lovely experience though.

The other Mummy, Winnie, is raising only two now, sadly the others didn't make it. The other two are doing very well and Winnie is very protective of them.
I will post some pictures over the weekend of Winnie's baby's, also one more of Bromwyn's before they go.

I have made some Plum Vodka also now, it will be ready for Christmas I'm hoping. Fingers crossed that it will taste just right!

Plum Gin

I have managed to make some Plum Gin ,it was so easy to make. If I had known how easy it was I would have made it sooner. It will be opened for Christmas. I will make another one but i will leave that one to stand for a year.

Blackberry Jam

Another batch of jam made, this time Blackberry. I decided to strain out the seeds. I must say it tastes very yummy. The Blackberrys were from my garden , so that is even better! Usually we go up to the woods with our dog's and do some Blackberry picking there. Last year when we went ,we had a competion going on , who could fill up the most punnets.

So 6 weeks, it's going really quick now . For the last few days I have been separating the Babies from Mum for a Couple of hours each time, for Mum and Babies to get use to it. The Babies are Fully weaned now and doing very well. They love being handled and I know when they go to their knew homes they will love loads of cuddles.

Sock Loom

As it has been a very rainy day , I have been trying out my new Sock Loom. I decided to make some small socks first to get use to the loom. Yesterday evening I went on good old YouTube to find out how to use the Loom. So far all is going well. The wool that I'm using has a mixture of colours, orange, fawn and green. I have put a couple of pictures on here of both of the Looms and wool that I'm using.

Sock Looming, more baby Bunnies, oh my!

Well I'm so happy, Winnie my other Angora has had her first litter too. Early this afternoon she had them, she gave birth to 7 but sadly 2 didn't survive. The 5 kitten's seem ok and Winnie is fine. I think she is going to be a good Mummy like Bromwyn.
My husband bought me a round Sock Loom , it is such fun and so much quicker than using needles. A parcel came today and my daughter Abi had ordered me a Rectangle Sock Loom so I could knit any size sock from Adult to Baby. I can't wait to experiment.I will keep you updated with Winnie and Kittens. I will be uploading some pictures of Bromwyn and her Bunnies tomorrow.

Day 17 in the Big Bunny Hutch

I cannot believe how much they have grown! Bromwyn is still looking after them and she doesn't mind me handling them . My daughter is going to keep the smallest one, I think she is going to call it Willow. I think the hardest part for me is when they have to go to their new homes, so I will enjoy the time we have with them now.

Spinning demonstration

Well I have been asked to do a spinning demo on Saturday, talk about nervous. I have carded some of my Angora wool to demonstrate with ,also I am going to use some lovely jade colour Merino. Let's hope I don't shake to much when demostrating. I admire all those people I have watched before myself eg,lacemaking and spinning. I will keep you informed how it went. Watch this space!

All that worrying for nothing, the demonstration went so well and what friendly people they were. It was so nice talking about a thing that I enjoy doing and people , young and old were very interested. I even had people wanting to have a try at spinning . So if any of you get a chance to show your crafting hobby, I say go for it!

Here is a photo from the demonstration.
